【From New Chitose Airport to Furano】

From New Chitose Airport, take a JR Hokkaido train to Sapporo. Once in Sapporo, catch a train to Takikawa and at JR Takikawa Station, change to a Furano bound train. One-way train fare is 4900Yen and the journey takes approximately 3 hours. Times and fares are subject to change, so please visit the JR Hokkaido web site before your trip.

By car
Take the expressway from Chitose to Takikawa. Takikawa is 172km from Chitose and tolls will cost 3500Yen. The journey will take approximately 2 hours 40 minutes.
New expressway will be connected from Chitose I.C directry to Tomamu I.C. November in 2011.
It should be shortly distance to Furano approximately 2 hours and more.
Car hire is available at New Chitose Airport. 660cc cars can be rented for approximately 7000Yen for 6 hours during winter plus the cost of gas. Toyota Rent-a-car has a limited number of cars with English GPS systems.
